QSBC Mission Trip

We were blessed with a mission team from our home church in Edmond, Oklahoma !! They were only 8 strong, but they did the work of a busload of people !! They hit the ground running.........literally, because they arrived late due to a cancelled flight. They worked with our Krakow Kings baseball team 4 days, went street witnessing with our Polish church 2 evenings, prayerwalked the city, served as English conversation partners with kids at the YMCA, university students at Jagellonian University, and adults at Graceland ESL School, taught discipleship classes at our Polish church, and ministered to the Hesskew family. They were busy!

Here is a small sampling of the pictures I captured of this team in action.......

Here are a few pics I borrowed from KR, one of the team members who served our Krakow Kings baseball team:

We were so blessed by the presence of these 8 this past week! Thank you QSBC for partnering with us here on the ground in Poland !!

May we all follow their example and
serve HIM in full force like this team did this past week !!

Blessings to you !!!

ETBU Mission Team

Last week, we had a group of college coaches and players come work with the Krakow Tigers. They are from East Texas Baptist University. They served the team by leading practices and showing them how college practices are done. Then they also served alongside the Tigers in various community events. They had alot of 'hang out' time with the guys as well and built some amazing relationships with great spiritual conversations! The Krakow Tigers were really pumped to interact with and learn from college players. We've had groups of coaches before, but this was the first group of college level players who have come to invest in our team. Here are some snapshots of this team in action:

Holding flag football clinics in 2 junior high schools and one university:

On Children's Day, the Krakow Tigers had a station where they spent time teaching kids/adults about the game of American football. Our ETBU team joined in and served with them.......

At the end of the day, the big boys got to play too...........

We are so thankful for the sacrifice of time and money these men spent to be here on Polish soil with us !! I think coach Al was just as blessed by these guys as any of the Tigers. They left him with tons of encouragement, laughter, memories, and a shared love for some great Polish athletes! Thank you ETBU - you've made a lasting, eternal impact on Krakow, Poland !!!

Arin is 6 !!!

Nope, I can't believe it !!! This is how old my baby is! We started our celebration early.......and tackled all her presents from the family before school !!!

Wow, she looks older already, huh?!?! Crazy !

Well, June 1st happens to be the BEST day to have a birthday as a child in Poland.........because it's also "Children's Day" !! Arin's class took a field trip to an indoor playplace, so going to school on our birthday was priority !! Then, our favorite city park unleashed the 'kid fun-ness' in honor of this special day, so we joined in on the fun after school.

They had games galore.......

Can't miss the face painting......she finds this station EVERYWHERE......

a little sumo wrestling...............

and gladiator fighting with Daddy.......at a little disadvantage.....

now, who's got the upper hand?!?!

Then we took to the trees...............

climb on, baby.............

30 + feet in the air for the zip line!........... (can you find her, the speck in blue?)

a natural monkey..............

the perfect end to the perfect day.............Mac n Cheese with Dr. Pepper !!!

Arin, you are a joy and light to our family! You live life to the fullest, and we love making daily attempts to keep up with your pace of life! I love your tenderness to the Lord.............I know your heart's absorbtion of His Word pleases our Father! Keep on growing, baby.............grow up BIG in HIM !!! We celebrate YOU today..........and give thanks to HIM! Happy Birthday, Arin Elise!
