Sunshine and School...........

In August, we had the opportunity to take some family vacation................to Egypt !!!  Although we had booked this vacation when it was cheap and safe, the country upheaval kept our plans tentative up until the day we left.  But we were ultimately able to go, had no security problems, and had a GREAT time together !!!
Here are a few pics from our time together !!!
Celebrating Mommy's Birthday !!!

September 1st always brings the start of school in Poland.  Since 9/1 was on a Sunday, we got to start on Sept 2nd !!!  Here are our two kids on the "formal" first day of school..............uniforms and ceremonial hoopla...........then go home !!!
(They had just bought themselves pet hamsters with their own money, so the new family members made it in the first day of school pics!.........priorities, you know !!!!)

Arin with most of the girls in her class

Arin's class - she is back row, 3rd from the right

Kaleb's class -- he is front row, second from the right

So, September 3rd was REALLY first day of school, with books, classes, and comfy clothes....

walking up to the school building

about to enter.........after this point, no camera were allowed by Kaleb and Arin.  (Mom is so embarrassing !!!)
I am so proud of them !!!
I could not do what I ask them to do...................attending school all day long in a foreign language.  This is our 5th year to begin Polish schools as a family........how is that possible?!?!
You would think that we would have this system down pat, right?  Yeah, I thought so too.............but the whole starting school system, with the language barriers and stepped-up expectations, has thrown this foreigner for a loop yet again.  Please pray for ease of communication with teachers, ability to help them with homework, and opportunities to be a light in this school in spite of ourselves.
