June Happenings

In June, summer began to arrive as school wound down to an end.  Before our university semester was over, Albert and I decided to have a joint grill for both of our classes as well as our professors.  It was a great opportunity to deepen our friendships with these 'youngins'.

Arin got to go on her very first "green school"  --a  3 day trip to the mountains with her class and teachers.  She had a great time and came back with so many stories.  She did cry one night for Mommy and Daddy, but we got to talk on the phone for a few minutes before she had to go join in on the next fun event.

gathering at the school for departure

loading onto the bus....final words of wisdom from Daddy.

We also celebrated Father's Day in June !!  -the American holiday and the Polish holiday.  Daddy still hasn't used his golfing gift certificate, but we sure enjoyed celebrating him !!!

We celebrated by enjoying an American treat, Pizza Hut  with teammates, the Edworthys......

and their new addition coming in October.......

Baseball Ministry

Baseball season was in full swing this spring and summer !!!  Albert would practice with the guys each Tuesday evening when he could, and attend all the games.  The baseball team is developing so well..............to think they were just a group of guys interested in this crazy game 4 years ago.  Now, they are officially a team in the Polish Baseball league, they have uniforms, and all their own equipment (thanks to some generous churches from the states!).  Please pray with us for the same developmental progress spiritually.  These guys know about Albert's faith and he gets quality bus time with them to talk about spiritual things.......................but no seekers are stepping into Bible study with him yet.

Below are some pics of a game about 1.5 hours outside of Krakow, a small city with real baseball fields !!!  The whole fam went to support our Krakow Kings.

Short-staffed means that Albert gets to umpire instead of coach his team.

 small, cold fan base........

Speaking of spiritual progress in the baseball ministry, we had a couple come to Krakow from our home church in San Antonio to work with the baseball team -- the Bobbits.

We showed them our city.........

The kids thought it was fun to "pick the nose"

Each evening, Albert and Danny held a baseball camp.

Here they joined us for our team prayer time at IKEA.

Peggy got involved in ESL ministries while the guys were with the baseball team.

We had a great time with the Bobbits and loved watching them learn to love the Polish people !!!  We are thankful for their investment in our family and the people we love here in Krakow !!!
